Setting the right price
Navigating different options
At Self+, we want to help you make the best decision for your community and for your business. So, let's talk about setting the right price.
The Price Your New Community Members Pay 💰
When you're setting up your community on Self+, the price you set will be the one that new members have to pay. But remember, our pricing policies are preset – we have a list of predetermined options for you to choose from. If you're not happy with the available options, feel free to contact our support team.
Every pricing policy comes with a sweet deal for the first month. It's a bit like a welcome discount to make it easier for new members to jump in and explore your community. For the months that follow, a regular rate applies.
How to Choose the Right Price? 🤔
When setting a price, keep in mind that a higher price doesn't always equate to higher income. Sometimes, having more members paying a lower price is more profitable than having fewer members paying a high price.
Here are some considerations to help you make an informed decision:
If you're just starting out or have a smaller blog, we recommend starting with the lowest price option. It's an appealing way to draw new members into your community.
If you're established and have a loyal following, consider the medium price range. This acknowledges the value of your content while remaining accessible to your audience.
If you consider yourself an opinion leader with a dedicated fanbase, you might want to opt for a higher price. This could signal a higher level of exclusivity and premium content.
Keep in mind that changing the price in the middle of your journey will mean that new members will pay the new price, but renewals of existing subscriptions will continue at the old price.
Making the right pricing decision is crucial to the success of your community on Self+. Choose a price that balances your need for income with the affordability for your members, and you'll be well on your way to building a thriving community.
